Step 1: Fry onions and make a paste

Heat 200 gms refined oil in a pan on medium-high flame for about 4-5 minutes. Once hot, add 3 large chopped onion slices and fry them till they turn golden brown. After frying take out the onions and let them cool. Once cooled, grind them to a smooth paste with some water.

Step 2: Make tomato puree

Chop 3 medium-sized tomatoes and add them to the same mixer jar. Also add 10 garlic cloves, 2 to 3 green chilies and a 2-inch piece of ginger. Add some water and make a puree.

Step 3: Prepare paneer gravy

Heat 4 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 3 green cardamoms, 1 black cardamom (if using), 3-4 cloves and 1 cinnamon stick. Saute them for 20-30 seconds.

Then add 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. Mix well and add tomato puree. Cook it on high flame for 3-4 minutes

Lower the heat and add onion paste. Mix and cook for 3-4 minutes

Add salt to taste. Mix well. Now add 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp paneer masala powder, 3 tbsp curd (if you want) and 1 tsp coriander powder. Mix well. Add 1 cup water and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4: Cook paneer in gravy

Add 200 grams paneer cubed to the gravy. Cook for 3-4 minutes. If it looks dry, add some water and cook for some more time.

Next, add 1/2 tsp roasted fenugreek leaves and fresh coriander leaves. Mix everything well. And your easy paneer recipe is ready!

    *      1 tsp cumin seeds

     *      3 green cardamoms

     *      3 to 4 cloves (optional)

     *      1 cinnamon stick 

    *      1/2 tsp kasturi methi

     *      Few fresh coriander leaves

     *      1 tsp coriander powder

     *      3 tbsp curd

     *      Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. 1 Cut onion into slices and fry it, then make a paste
    2 Add tomatoes, green chillies, garlic, ginger and water and make a puree
    3 In a pan, add all the whole spices and add Kashmiri red chilli and turmeric, then add tomato puree and fry it
    4 Then add onion paste and fry it, then add the spices given, add curd and fry it
    5 Then add paneer and mix and cook, then add kasturi methi and green coriander and mix it
    6 Now take it out in a plate and serve with butter naan roti
