Want to make paneer tikka recipe masala without oven? Then this recipe is perfect! Instead of using tandoor, we will not use tawa or tandoor. Today we will make paneer tikka masala in a different way and that is restaurant style.

But it tastes exactly like restaurant food. Paneer tikka is slathered in a spicy gravy made with roasted spices, cashew paste and desi tadka. This dish is perfect for dinner parties, special lunches or weekends.

Step 1: Prepare the marinade for paneer tikka

  1 tsp mustard oil
• 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp red pepper powder
• 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
• 2 tsp roasted gram flour
• 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
• Salt according to taste

After adding all these spices, we will mix it well. After mixing it well, we will add curd to it. Before adding curd, tie it in a muslin cloth and keep it for 2 to 3 hours so that all the water in it gets drained out. After adding curd, mix it well.

Step 2: Mix paneer with magnet and give it a smoky flavour

After making the magnet, we will add 1 capsicum cut into cubes and then add 1 tomato cut into cubes and onion and add 250 grams of paneer cut into cubes and mix it well.

• After mixing it well, to give it a smoky flavour, keep a bowl in the paneer magnet and add burnt coal and 1 tsp ghee and heat it for 5 to 6 minutes so that its flavour comes into it.

Step 3: How to cook Paneer Magnet without oven

To cook Paneer Magnet without oven, we will take an iron rod and thread it in the same way as we thread kebabs on a skewer.

You can also put it on the tawa and after one side is cooked, cook the other side till it completely absorbs the water and magnet.

I have put it on the iron rod and cooked it well by turning the flame of the gas to high.

Step 4: Make the gravy for Paneer Tikka Masala

To make the gravy, first of all we will put a wok on the gas and heat it by adding 2 teaspoons of oil.
After the oil is heated, we will add all these ingredients like 1 large chopped onion, 5 to 6 chopped tomatoes, 3 to 4 green chillies, 4 to 5 cashews, 5 to 6 whole red chillies, and salt as per taste, mix it, add some water, cover it and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
After cooking for 4 to 5 minutes, take it out, let it cool and put it in a mixer jar and make a puree

Now to cook the puree, put a vessel on the gas and add 2 teaspoons of ghee and heat itAfter it gets heated, add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and 1 teaspoon chopped ginger and 1 teaspoon green chutney and mix them and fry them a little

After frying a little, add 2 chopped onions and fry them well till golden brown

After it becomes golden brown, now we will add some spices to it, add 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala powder, 1 teaspoon cumin powder and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and mix them well, add some water and fry for 2 minutes

After frying for 2 minutes, now we will add the puree to it, add salt according to taste and cook well on medium flame for 8 to 9 minutes

Step 6: Cook Paneer Tikka Masala with Gravy

So after the puree is cooked for 8 to 9 minutes, now we will add paneer tikka in it and mix it well and add some kasturi methi and cook for 2 minutes

Step 7: Serving

After cooking for 2 minutes, add some chopped coriander and mix it well and serve it with Tandoori Naan or Jeera Fry or your favorite dish.

Tips For Paneer tikka masala recipe without ovan

• Lightly fry the marinated paneer on a tawa or grill pan on high flame so that it looks slightly charred and smokey – like fresh from the tandoor.
• Use cashew paste or coconut milk instead of extra cream – it adds creaminess and helps a bit in health and adds flavor too

Ingredients for Marination

  • 200g paneer cubes
  • 1 tsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red pepper powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 tsp roasted gram flour
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for Gravy

  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 5-6 chopped tomatoes
  • 3-4 green chillies
  • 4-5 cashews
  • 5-6 whole red chillies
  • 2 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp green chutney
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix all marination ingredients with paneer cubes. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa, cook marinated paneer on medium flame till golden brown.
  3. In another pan, heat ghee and cumin seeds. Add chopped onions and sauté till golden.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, green chillies, cashews, and whole red chillies. Cook till soft.
  5. Blend this mixture to a smooth paste and keep aside.
  6. In the same pan, add chopped ginger and green chutney, sauté for a minute.
  7. Add the blended paste, along with red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Add cooked paneer cubes to the gravy, mix gently and simmer for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander.
