Main Ingredients kadai paneer recipe with tamato puree

Paneer – 200 gms, chopped

Tomato Puree – 1 cup (fresh or curried from the store)
Onion – 1 large, finely chopped
✔ Capsicum – 1 medium, chopped into small pieces (green, red or yellow)
✔ Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
✔ Green Chillies – 1-2, chopped
✔ Butter or Ghee or
Oil – 2 tbsp

2. Whole Spices (for aroma and flavour)

✔ Coriander Seeds – 1 tbsp (coarsely chopped)

✔ Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
✔ Dried Red Chillies – 2-3
✔ Bay Leaf – 1
✔ Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini) – 1 small piece
✔ Cloves – 2-3

3. Ground Spices -for flavour and colour

  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
    chili Red powder – 1 tsp
    Coriander powder – 1 tsp
    Garam masala – ½ tsp
    Kasuri methi – 1 tsp (crushed)
    Salt – to taste
    Sugar – ½ tsp (optional)

4. Optional ingredients for extra flavour

✔ Fresh cream – 2 tbsp (for a rich texture)
✔ Cashew paste – 1 tbsp (for creamy version)
✔ Lemon juice – ½ tsp (for freshness)

5. Garnishing

Fresh coriander leaves – 2 tbsp, finely chopped
Ginger slice – for the Dhaba style look

Step-by-Step Cooking Instructions

First of all we will put a pan on the gas, then we will put butter or ghee or oil in it, then when the pan gets hot, we will put ghee in it, then put chillies in it and fry them a little.

Then we will add cinnamon and bay leaf in it and fry it for 2 minutes, then we will put onion in it and fry it for 7 minutes

After this, we will put capsicum in it and fry it for 2 more minutes, then put tomato puri or adhrak garlic paste in it and extinguish it for a while, add whole coriander seeds, chana masala, kasturi methi, salt according to taste, sugar, and fry it for 10 minutes.

Then for more taste, add two spoons of fresh cream, one cashew paste and lemon juice and fry for 5 minutes.

After this, add 200 grams of paneer and cook for 5 more minutes. After this, take it off the gas and it is ready to serve.
