Apply the dough like this

So before making soya chaap, we have to prepare its dough.

So to make the dough, first of all we will take a bowl and we will put 300 grams of flour in it. After putting the flour, we will add salt according to the taste. We are making this soya chaap for 3 to 4 people. You can add all the ingredients according to your taste.

So after adding salt, we will add water little by little and knead the flour well so that our flour dough does not become too tight or too loose.

So we will add water little by little and mix it well with the flour and prepare its dough. You can also use gulton in it, if you have it, otherwise there is no need, it is already present in it.

So once the dough is prepared properly, we will cover it with a cotton cloth and keep it for 30 minutes so that it sets well and does not remain sticky.

Till then we prepare soya chaap from soyabean because soya chaap cannot be made without soyabean, so we prepare soya bean.

Ingredients for soya chaap

  • 300 gms all purpose flour
  • Salt as per taste
  • 20 gms guluton (optional)
  • Water as per requirement
  • 1 cup soyabean
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tsp refined oil

Prepare soya chaap like this

So to prepare soya chaap soyabean, first of all we will take 1 cup soyabean in a bowl.

Make sure that the soyabean is of good quality and not of low quality. If our soyabean is of low quality then soya chaap will not be prepared properly. So we have to take good quality soyabean after checking it properly.

So we have put 1 cup soyabean in a bowl. Now we will cover it with 2 cups of hot water and keep it for 30 minutes so that it swells well and the smell present in it also goes away.
So it has been 30 minutes since we kept the soyabean. Now we will knead it well with our hands so that the water in it comes out well. So after kneading it well, we will keep it in a bowl and leave it for 3 minutes.
So after leaving it for 3 minutes, now we will put it in a grinder jar and make a coarse powder of it. We do not have to make a fine powder of it. We just have to grind it. You have to grind it coarsely, you should also grind it coarsely

So after grinding it coarsely, you can see that there is some moisture in it. We have to take full care that no water remains in the soybean, otherwise soya chaap does not get prepared properly due to such small things.

So now we will take it out on a big cotton cloth or gamchhi and make it into a ball and knead it well. If you do not know how to do this, then take out the soybean in a plate and keep it under the fan and leave it for 1 hour so that it dries well and becomes full.

Otherwise you can also use this trick of cloth. So now after kneading our soybean has become full, there is no water left. Now let us see the further process.

wash the dough with water

So to prepare the dough, we will take the dough which we have rested for 30 minutes and add 1 teaspoon oil to it and knead it well to make it smooth so that it becomes soft. Mix it for 4 to 5 minutes.
So after mixing it for 4 to 5 minutes and it becomes smooth, now we will add 2 cups of water to it and knead it well with both our hands to separate its glutinous substance so that the soya chaap becomes good.

So we will knead it for 3 to 4 minutes and then wash it. So after washing it for 3 to 4 minutes, you will be able to see that our glutinous substance has been completely separated and the flour has not been completely removed but 95% has been removed in the water.

So we will put it in a sieve and leave it for about 1 to 2 hours so that all the water in it is removed.

We have to take full care that Do not keep even a little water in it, otherwise the shape of the chaap will not be formed. These small things have to be kept in mind so that our soya chaap becomes exactly like the restaurant one and does not look like it has been made at home, it should be like this.

So we have kept it for 1 to 2 hours, now you can see that there is no water in it, you should also keep it like this.

So now we will put 1 teaspoon refined oil in a bowl and we will put this gultana in it and grease it well. So now let’s see the process of how we will mix it with soya and also how we will cook it.

Cook soya chaap in this water

So to make soya chaap, first of all we will add some more salt as per the taste in the dough which we have just kneaded smooth. Along with that we will add coarse soybean powder little by little and knead it well with the flour so that both of them get mixed together. We do not have to add everything together.

So by adding little by little we have mixed the soybean with the dough, now we will cut it like we cut a roti dough, just cut it a little bigger.

So after cutting the dough, we will apply some flour on a stool to roll it and roll it with the help of a rolling pin. We have to keep it thick and not make it thin like a roti.

So after rolling it, we will cut it in a long shape of 1 inch width with the help of a knife. There will be about 5 to 6 pieces in 1 dough ball. So after cutting it well, we will take an ice cream stick, this stick is available anywhere in the market.
So after taking the stick, we will take the dough in a cut long shape and roll it on the mouth of the stick. We will start wrapping it and like this we will wrap it one over the other till the last. So our soya chaap shape is ready.
We will roll all of them like this and make a similar shape. Now for cooking it, we will put a pan on the gas and add 3 to 4 cups of water in it and heat it well on medium temperature.
So when the water becomes medium hot, we will put our soya chaap in it and cook it by setting the flame of the gas to medium. The proof of its cooking is that it starts swelling well and comes above the water, then you will know that it is cooked.
So we have cooked it for 7 to 8 minutes. So now our soya chaap is ready. Take it out of the water and put it in a plate and keep it to cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
